17-1 Chris "The Samurai" Bennett to fight 170lbs Feb 20
It's no secret Chris Bennett is an almost unbeatable force at 155lbs. It's because of that that it's getting near impossible to find him opponents.
Feb 20th, Bennett will fight at 170lbs against an established amateur.
At 17-1 Chris "The Samurai" Bennett has been beaten only once. A teenager who began at 15 years old with the G-Force Fight Team in Amelia, Ohio under the guidance of Ron Gablemen where he remains to this day. Not wanting to go pro until he's had 20 amateur fights, Bennett isn't in any hurry and so far, his only loss came when he tried to pull a mid air arm bar on his opponent who then slammed Bennett on his head, knocking him out for the win. A cocky mistake Bennett has learned not to make twice.
"We have brought in guys from all over the place touted as being the best 155lb amateurs in their cities and Bennett runs through them." explains Appleton.
On February 20th, Bennett will be fighting up to 170lbs against Muhammad Abdullah who is a 7-5 fighter out of Team Vision Dayton. Muhammad who typically walks around at 190lbs is going to be bigger and stronger than Bennett and should be a viable test for The Samurai's skills.
We will soon see. Let's hope the Samurai brings swords sharp enough to cut through the much thicker Abdullah.
