John Troyer takes the 185lb Title from 6-1 Mojo Horne in a major battle at Belterra Casino Resort & Spa.

Troyer, who people described as Kentucky’s version of Mojo Horne went for a takedown early and was able to mount and land a couple of glazing shots. Mojo was able to get back on his feet and landed a few good hits while he had Troyer on the clinch. The fight stalled for a little bit as both men where trying to transition. Mojo backed Troyer to cage while holding on to his right leg looking to take him down or go for a body slam.

As Troyer reversed Mojo on the cage he was also able to get a clinch on the champ and landed stinging knees to head. Mojo fired back with a nice head kick. Both men then start swinging for the fences in a classic display of sheer determination and will from two determined gladiators and had the crowd on their feet. Troyer was getting the better of the exchange however as Mojo was backing down seemingly dazed by the hits he took until he gets rocked and dropped by another huge left knee to the head from a clinch. Troyer kept pounding Mojo with right hands on the ground until the referee stopped the fight.
