Joan Red, a powerhouse of sound that has toured full time and has performed live with some of todays largest and most well known acts is now signed to the guidance of Big Show President Jason Appleton. Appleton who came to MMA after owning Opulent Records, a vanity label known for taking small acts into the national spotlight through radio and television was turned onto the band by their lead singer. "A friend of mine, Rick from Tombstone Cycles in Amelia told these guys to contact me if they wanted to get to the next level. I haven't been in the music business for a couple years but they kept contacting me on Facebook and their tenacity showed me they were serious. After finally listening to their songs on myspace I was very impressed. They broke me down. So I signed them." With millions of listens on their myspace and close to 60,000 friends, the band has been working heavily to promote their latest CD entitled "Side Effects Of You". Now scheduled to record 3 new songs with producer Nick Tyler, a personal friend of Appleton known for work with Four Year Strong and others, the band is slated to begin recording in May soon to be followed by a music video.
