Big Show President and Founder Jason Appleton discusses the future of the MMA Big Show, what to expect and what's in the works.

It's been 3 years since the MMA Big Show opened the doors to it's first event back in November of 2006. Now, it's time to go to the next level.

On November 18th, 2006 the MMA Big Show packed the NKY Convention Center in Convington, KY in an all amateur event consisting of 22 fights. The show was a smashing success in terms of attendance but many lessons were learned right from the start. Now, 3 years later the MMA Big Show has a brand name established on a national scale and is known for being of the best Pro/Am Promotions in the country. Fighters from all over the globe have been eager to compete for the Big Show and the requests have been pouring in over the years to host events at various locations through out the country.

The year of 2009 has been a year of learning and building. Learning more about broadcast video production and the building of relationships. As we get nearer to a close of the 2009 year and begin preparing for 2010, we have decided to let the world know that 2010 will be the year of MMA Big Show Pay Per View.

Our regular schedule of events at the Belterra Casino Resort & Spa in Indiana has been a boon to our growing success. They have taken every measure to insure the added successes of our events there as there really is no better venue to hold an intimate yet impressive Mixed Martial Arts event. Though we will be holding regular events at the Belterra in 2010, we are looking for other venues through out the country to begin holding MMA Big Show events as well. The demand is such that we feel it's time to begin those plans and push forward.

We have made it a point to grow slowly and steadily from the ground up. Building our infrastructure and reputation before jumping into a highly challenging venture such as PPV. We have seen fighters such as Roger Bowling, Mojo Horne, Chris Bennett, TJ Ball and many others rise up amongst the many in their weight classes and status. We have made new friends in the world of MMA and built bridges that have lead us to new opportunities.

With an international Pay Per View Deal in the works to begin January of 2010, the MMA Big Show will be releasing 1 hour PPV specials that will be available internationally on your television as a $9.95 buy. A new PPV special will be made available every 30 days. All of the fights that have taken place in 2009 will be a part of a special.

For those in the regional markets the MMA Big Show is puting together deals to broadcast 2 hour specials of events a week after the event date with the goal being to broadcast these events live, regionally on television. Possibly nationally. Discussions are already taking place with multiple networks interested in picking up the event specials.

AMGTV has been pushing the national syndication of the first series of the MMA Big Show TV show which is currently airing in over 100 markets across the United States and into the UK with more clearances happening weekly.

Overall, television has been a steady climb into the national spotlight that has only just begun. We have planted many seeds in 2009 that will bloom fully in 2010.

Sponsorship deals are being sought to aid in the 2 hour live broadcast specials.

More fighters will be signed both to Big Show multi fight contracts and potentially management agreements with Jason Appleton for a select few. Roger Bowling will soon be signed to STRIKEFORCE, Mojo Horne will hopefully get on the new 185lb season of Ultimate Fighter and new talent will be on the rise.

More development of weight classes and ladders will being shaping up in 2010 as well where fighters in a weight class will be more structured based on ability and wins, fighting to get to the top. We won't go into this just yet as it's a system being developed further now.

Overall, the MMA Big Show will be breaking into 2010 with A New Dawn that will set the standard for the rest of the year.

As we work now to lay the groundwork for Pay Per View with the various carriers through out the country and generate further interest from media, fighters and fans alike, know that when you see an MMA Big Show event, you will be watching the stars of tomorrow take shape today and the Big Show fans of today will be around to tell the world, they saw them first, before anyone else.

A New Dawn approaches...
